Family Sports Golf Course
About
The golf course at the Family Sports Golf Course (formerly known as Family Golf Center at Centennial Airport) is a nine-hole course with a links-style layout. The course is perfect for beginners and kids, therefore making it a perfect place for a golf outing for the entire family. Richard Phelps, an extremely popular course designer in Colorado, created the course. The course is 2,241 yards and plays to a par of 31. Although it is a short course it features several challenging elements for golfers to really learn the game or just practice their short game. The average-sized greens are fairly undulating and there are generous fairways. The Family Sports Golf Course also features water hazards that come into play on some holes. The signature hole is the par-5 fifth hole, which is not only one of the lengthier holes of the course, it also plays uphill.

Great location
I've been using this facility for years, it keeps getting better and better. They seem to be getting very creative in attracting families and junior players.
Famiily Fun
Kids all over this course, but it moved and I was through this executive 9 in well under 2 hours. Take a short set and enjoy the walk. Very nice for what it is.
Great value
This course was great for the money a little noisy with all the plane landing,
However the course was in great shape and this is a great place to take beginners to learn the game.
Good Golf
This course is an executive layout with 6 par threes, 2 par 4's and one par 5. Greens and fairways are in excellent shape and play moved right along with no hold ups. Having just come off a leg injury, this was a great course to play and walk and see if I could golf again. I would return to play this with friends. It also has good to excellent practice area for chipping and putting and a good driving range.
Great course to train irons on
Love this course, just got new irons and playing the blues has helped me tremendously...greens are in excellent shape as well
Step up from a par 3
Great value for 9 holes under $10. A lot of par 3s
Good 9 hole course
This course is always fun and can be challenging. It also can be a little noisy being next to the airport.
Family sports great value on a long lunch break
Its only got a couple decent drives but the rest of the course is perfect quick practice with beautiful views of the mtns. The grass is as well maintain as any non private and there are water stations and a restroom on the course. MY ONLY complaint is the jerks that play the course and litter litter litter and dont fix there own divots on the green. And its sooo easy to remedy those things.
I highly recommend this course for a quicky with friends or the spouse. Super friendly staff and carts if you need.
Family Sports is a great value
I was very pleased with my experience at family sports golf course. It was very affordable, the staff was friendly, and it was a great way to spend the afternoon. Much more affordable to take the family to play golf here, than to go to a movie or something like that.
Nice course for the $8 I paid! Still in good shape in November.
Good family course. Slow pace of play because of the 6 par 3's.
Great value
This course is surprisingly good for an executive course. Plays well and it's kept in great condition, especially the greens.
Great Course for the price.
This course has everything, driving range, several practice greens. The course is a really good value. I would recommend this course.
Great 9 holes. Good practice for short game but driver possible on 2 holes.
Had a great time not that busy during the week actually got out early and finished without any pressure. Very walkable or ride.
Looking for a fast challenging 9 give them a try.
Great for beginners and Intermediates...
Very forgiving and wide open from the whites. A Few fairway bunkers and guarded greens. No water. Only 1 130yd carry on number 9. A lot of real estate on some of the greens.
Executive 9-hole course with a couple longer holes
For starters, I should say I played the course for $6 on a GolfNow Hot Deal, including GolfNow fees. That's less than most miniature golf courses so my expectations weren't high. I played at lunch time on a weekday and there weren't many people on the course. In fact, I re-played errant tee shoots several times on some holes simply to get the practice and because there was no one coming behind me. The course itself is mostly flat with some slight slopes in the middle and the rough is not deep, but it's hardpan scrub grass. The fairways and greens were in great shape and the Par 3s vary enough in length that you're not playing the same iron off the tee the whole round. I like that there are a couple Par 4s and a Par 5 so I can use my hybrid and driver at least once. There's a very nice driving range, pitching green and chipping green there as well.
Great for practice!
6 par 3's for the nine holes. Great practice for getting on the green from 100 yards out. The 4's and the 5 allow for a couple uses of your driver and/or a wood.
It's a fun time
Worth the money for sure, not a particularly difficult course but still lots of fun and cheap and satisfies my golf urges for the day.
Nice course for begiiners
Good course for beginners. This course gives you a chance to try a variety of clubs.
Nice executive course to tune up your game.
There are many weeks that I do not have a chunk of 5-6 hours to go play a round. The Family Sports Center is the answer for time pressed duffers. The course is in good shape. Greens are running very nicely. The fairways still show some winter frost damage, but these areas do not really hamper play. There is plenty of variety on the course to be able to pull most clubs in your bag. I play this course 2-3 times a week to keep my game in tune for the weekends and bigger course. This course is an easy walker. Rounds are generally less than 2 hours even with walking. Nice extras are the well maintained range, putting and chipping areas. There are deals between $10-12 any day of the week. Best money you can spend on upping your game.
Easy Course
This was my first time playing at Family Sports Center and the course was in good shape, especially for a 9 hole course. It was enjoyable, but the pace of play can get quite slow, as expected when you have a lot of short holes.
I am a 14 handicap but I was able to shoot +4 in 9 holes at this course. There isn't very many hazards to get into trouble and the fairways are pretty wide open. A good course for a beginner or someone wanting to get a lot of iron practice in.
