Family Sports Golf Course
About
The golf course at the Family Sports Golf Course (formerly known as Family Golf Center at Centennial Airport) is a nine-hole course with a links-style layout. The course is perfect for beginners and kids, therefore making it a perfect place for a golf outing for the entire family. Richard Phelps, an extremely popular course designer in Colorado, created the course. The course is 2,241 yards and plays to a par of 31. Although it is a short course it features several challenging elements for golfers to really learn the game or just practice their short game. The average-sized greens are fairly undulating and there are generous fairways. The Family Sports Golf Course also features water hazards that come into play on some holes. The signature hole is the par-5 fifth hole, which is not only one of the lengthier holes of the course, it also plays uphill.

Fun course slow pace of play
I like the layout and design of the course, but I have 2 complaints. The range balls on the first fairway are annoying and the pace of play is horrible slow.
Ranger patrol
I've been playing this course since it opened. I like the layout and close proximity to my house(and of course the staff is always friendly) Today unfortunately, we encountered a group of three seniors that not only played extremely slow, they were horrible golfers! They were driving up to and on the fringe of the green. I hope soon there will be more supervision by a ranger to not let this happen, especially on a busy day!
Poor pace
Too many people on course unable to finish round. Had to leave with one hole to play. Tee time was 10:39 left with one hole to play it was 12:55
Great executive course
Love this place! My only complaint is sometimes the pace of play is really bad and the 7th tee box is humped making it difficult to find a good spot to swing from but this is a great place to just play or shake off the rust plus they have a card to play 9 rounds get the 10th free which I've done twice
course in great shape
My wife and I really enjoy playing here. The people are always friendly and kind. The pace is slow at times but not complaining because we are here to have fun on a nice day in February. For the price it is awesome !!
Great Learners Course!
Love this course especially in my first season to play. I can get out there, completely by myself most the time, and just hack it around. Played yesterday and the course is nicer than some of the more expensive courses I've played around here. Through and done in an hour and back to my day. Good extra amenities with the driving range, chipping area, and putting green.
Friendly staff and a very good value, Except for the fact that I had to pay $18 for a golf cart when I checked in. My round of golf for 2 ppl only $1
Friendly staff and a very good value, Except for the fact that I had to pay $18 for a golf cart and my round of golf for 2 people was only $16!!
Slow play
We were waiting on every hole. Stacked up on holes caused us to take three hours to play this small course with only 9 holes. Normally I can play this course in two hours.
If the flying range balls don't kill you on hole 1 then the pace of play will bore you to death on 2-9
You have to be careful about range balls on hole 1, the net to stop them is only protecting the tee box area. Had my bag get hit while I was walking down the fairway.
The other big issue is the pace of play. If you have less then 2 groups stacked at the tee box in front of you then it's a good day.
Staff is very friendly and the driving range is nice.
Great value
$5 dollars to walk 9 is a steal. I've never had a round here take more than 2 hours. Generally, from start to finish, it takes me around an hour and a half. Occassionally there's a slow set but I've never topped 2 hours here. The staff is friendly and lent me a 6 iron after mine met its end. Would reccommend to anyone. They keep the course pretty well maintained for the cheap price to play. Great practice facility as well.
Good course
Always a good time. Although I paid to play another round and proceeded to the practice green to await my name to be called for tee off. I waited a while and went back to the pro shop. The clerk told me my tee time and the others I was to play with had already tee'd off. I stated that I never heard my name called. The clerk responded by saying 'oh we haven't called names all day'. I said they called my name the 1st round. He stated that he had just come on. So not a lot of professionalism with this clerk. I got a refund. The 1st round and the starter Lamar was fabulous. He is always so helpful.
Executive Course
This course isn't a bad course. I really like the practice area. My only beef with this place is the pace of play, which is just terrible everywhere here in Colorado. If you can't get a tee time within the first hour to an hour and a half expect a 3 hour or more round for an executive course.
Great Value and Addicting
This course is fun. Lapped it twice on a weekday morning without another soul around. Great condition for 1st of March.
Great course. Great value!
Course is in great shape. Staff is courteous and helpful. Facilities offer everything a golfer needs. I highly recommend this course for any skill level.
Best for price.
I've golfed here a bunch of times and have never had a bad time. I've never had the pace of play issues others are reporting.
There really isn't much for food/drink. Bring your own.
