About
Wellshire Golf Course is an 18-hole, public course that was voted as one of the best public facilities in the U.S. Designed by Donald Ross, the course opened in 1926 and is located in southwest Denver. Towering trees are scattered throughout the course, adding pretty scenery as well as an interesting element to the game. The course has a yardage of 6,498 from its longest tees, playing to a par of 71. The risk-and-reward style layout of the course provides a fun golfing experience for all levels. Wellshire Golf Course features particularly challenging 12th and 14th holes. The greens and fairways are Blue Grass.

Great golf course
What a great golf course in South Denver. Conditions were incredible and the golf course was in really good shape. Narrow fairways tons of trees.
Terrible customer service
First course that’s ever refused a rain check for the back 9 because I booked on GN. Although they originally told me they would honor a rain check, played 9 holes for $35. Said they don’t get revenue from GN so they couldn’t give a voucher lol.
Pace of play was excellent
Was a great November day and the course was in great shape. The greens were firm and fast but true.
Good experience all around, staff was very friendly. I’ll be back again.

Great Pace of Play
Finished in 4:05. great pace. Course was very dry, hard to even get a tee in the ground on some boxes. Don't let the yardage fool you. I played Gold and didn't realize it was a par 70 so most of the par 4's are around or over 400 yards. That made for some really long approach shots even with a good drive.

Always fun to play
Another great day playing here. The course was in great condition as it always is. Enjoyed the round and in the restaurant/bar after playing. The gals in there are so nice and friendly.
Great Course, not so friendly Pro-Shop guy
STAFF seemed to not believe We pre-paid for the ROUND and it included a Cart! Literally, proof in my hand what was included. Then proceeded to ask how much we paid! Like what does it matter, we paid online and listed what was included!
Great day of golf on very slow greens.
Course was super green and super soft on a 100 degree day. The greens were very slow and no-one in our group could get our putts to the hole even downhill. There also was very little run in the fairways with drives. I just wish the course was a little faster.
