Meadows Golf Club
About
Located in the Southwest Metro area, the golf course at the Meadows Golf Club has a links-style layout that provides a challenging and fun game for all golfers. The trio of Bradford Benz, J. Michael Poellot, and Richard Phelps designed this municipal, 18-hole course. It is just over 7,000 yards and plays to a par of 72. The course is situated against the foothills of the Rockies, providing nice views along the course. The risk-and-reward layout of the course features water hazards and bunkers. Meadows Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3, 8th hole, which require a shot over water to a well-bunkered and extremely sloped green.

It had rained heavily the night before so the course was walking only which is no big deal. However the pace of play was 6.5 hours. We teed off at 1:10 pm and finished around 7:30 pm. It was brutally slow. The course was in decent shape. There is still a ton of winter kill in the fairways. There aren't a ton of quality lies in the fairways because of this. Otherwise the course played great. The rough was at fair height and for an afternoon tee time the bunkers were well raked.
Great, challenging course!
Course design was great. Very challenging. There was some winter kill but that is not the courses fault so it should not effect the review. Look forward to playing again once the course recovers from our long snowy winter.
What the &:#**# happened???
One of my favorite courses in Denver for 30 years. It’s turned into a goat track. Worst turf conditions I’ve ever seen at a quality golf course. Winter kill everywhere, but their weather hasn’t been any different from dozens of other courses on the south side that are in gorgeous shape! So disappointing. Will probably take until next year to recover.
Greens
Patchy greens in front nine
A few bumps
The rain should help
Go elsewhere
Course conditions were less than desirable, hard fairways with lots of hard pack dirt and some to no grass. Greens were even worse with lots of winter rot or just plain torn up, and terrible to put on. Nothing was flat.
They "Lost" our GolfNow tee time, and if the manager had not walked in and agreed to get us slotted in, the staff was like, we are pretty busy, not sure how that happened.
For the drive from Denver and the course conditions, I would not go back
Bad grass
The greens were terrible. For the money the course conditions were awful. It was like putting on a dirt road. With the amount of rain and playing other courses this one was the worsed by far.
Course conditions were terrible despite intense rain all spring. Driving range was a goat track. Price was ridiculous given conditions and 4:45 round pace of play haven’t played it in 15 years, used to be a great course very disappointing.
Terrible Conditions and Amenities
Most courses in Colorado suffered winter kill - it happens with the long, cold winter and snow that remained on the course longer than ususal. Every other course I've played in this area has made great strides to recover - The Meadows has not. Every single fairway has pretty significant dead spots and the majority of the greens and tee boxes. I'm shocked they charge their normal rates, they should be in 'maintenance mode' and charging until they recover. I spent the better part of the day upset about how poor the tee boxes, fairways and greens are in. Then, you throw in that the bathrooms in the clubhouse are disgusting and dilapidated. Try using one of the bathrooms on the course, they are the hole in the ground type (no running water), they (along with the port-a-potties) are completely full. I've never seen one full before - I can't believe they don't have a contract with someone to come empty them! To make matters worse, it was a 5-hour round and no sign of a marshal to move play along. I usually love playing here, I think it's a fun, challenging and interesting layout - but I won't be back anytime soon. Save your money and go elsewhere...
Horrible conditions
I have played this course many many times over the years and this was the worst shape I have ever seen it. The tee boxes were in bad shape, the fairways had no grass and the greens were horrible. I wanted to just leave but we kept thinking it would get better. Boy were we wrong. I don't know if the greenskeeper quit or what has happened. I have never been so disappointed playing a course. They should have paid ust to play the course!
No riding cart was available
When I got the golf course, the staff told me no riding cart is available today because the wet condition. I was disappointed that I was not notified about the no cart policy on the play day. The staff offered a push cart and I ended up using it. It was hard for me to walk the all 18 holes. If the golf course had notified me before arriving there, I could have prepared my own electric powered push cart.
If you could, please give some booking credit in my account. Thank you,
Terrible condition
This is one of my home courses and last year it was great. This year it’s in such bad shape that I won’t be going back.. The fairways and greens are unbearable. So disappointing
In recovery
Course conditions are suffering from our hard winter. Lots of bare ground in fairways. Greens not recovering very quickly from aeration. Hopefully predicted rains will kick it in growth gear. Can't help but wonder if allowing carts on the fairways in the winter caused the set back compared to other area courses. Parts of the course where carts are never allowed look much better.
