Eagle Trace Golf Club
About
The course at Eagle Trace Golf Club is one of several in Colorado that were designed by architect Richard Phelps. Views of the Rockies and splendid Cottonwoods sprinkled across the course make it an enjoyable game. Five lakes and over sixty bunkers add some challenging elements to the course. Located in Broomfield, the golf course is 6,529 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Eagle Trace Golf Club also offers teeboxes specifically made for children. They also have a junior golf program for kids under 10.

Lots of water.
Front 9 greens were in poor condition. Back 9 was much better. Holes 11-13 are the best on the course as far as conditon and layout, but short. Bunkers were not well maintained and need some drainage work, and re-edged.
Lots of water in play
We played this course on Friday 26th of July. The first couple of holes were a torment as we were held by a very slow threesome who seemed to have no idea of golf etiquette whatsoever. Suffice it to say that it took more than 30 minutes to play one hole.
We skipped through and, having settled down, thoroughly enjoyed the course. It was long and challenging and tested each shot.
The staff were very friendly. The 18th hole presents a true challenge of shot making.
We visit from Ireland and have put it on our list to play again when next we come.
Course was in good shape
This was the first time we had played this course. The course and greens were in good shape and it was a great day to play. some of the greens have tough slopes and pin location were difficult. Overall a nice challenging course and great conditions. The pace of play was pretty slow!
Played fast and well.
The course was not very busy so the starter let me out earlier than my appointed tee time of 12:30 as a single and I was able to play eighteen holes in less than 2.5 hours with a cart . That is how I remembered golf to be when I started playing over 50 years ago on a small municipal course in Ohio.
Great course
Course was in great shape! A couple if greens were choppy but over all, can't wait to play it again.
Needs rehab
This at one time may have been a really nice neighborhood coarse. Unfortunately it has not been kept up. The fairways are in bad shape, the greens play like peg boards,, and the sand traps feel like a dried mud bed. Do not waste your time or money on this one. It was fun but in need of lots of help.
Good course
Good course. Pretty straight forward, some easy holes. And some tougher holes. Greens are in bad condition, bumpy, patchy in spots. But overall pretty good course, nice staff
overall greens ned a little work
i will definately play this course again and encourage others to do so
Nice golf
Course is set up well, don't need to hit the driver on every tee box. I liked going to an iron to set up 2nd shot to the green. Greens are slopped so reading them is important.
Cheap Course
Can't complain with the price that I paid, but the course isn't in the best shape. You almost get penalized hitting in the fairway on some holes with the dead spots and divots they have and the greens have dead spots on holes as well that change the way your ball will roll. Overall it's worth playing for $1 a hole and if course was in better shape its a fun course
Terrible
Took 4 hours to play 11 holes. I quit and looked for staff to complain. Did not get rain check.
Course was in poor condition, with greens bumpy and unplayable on many holes.
Played course before, but will never again.
The greens on the first 7 holes are in terrible condition, course should warn people
I have always like this course, but the condition of the course is very poor. The greens on the front 9 are half dead, what a shame. I understand things happen, but people should be told prior to coming out to play.
Bad Course Conditions
Very poor conditions all around, they need a lot of water and a lot of grass, not sure the excuse but someone needs to take control and get it in order. Its not a bad course as far as layout, the back nine is much more fun the the front.
The driving range is mats only, hitting floaters into a lake, which is not an ideal way to get ready for a round. the chipping green is as basic you can get and just as poorly taken care of as anything else. The putting green is fine.
Its a typical municipal, but the owners don't take care of it!
glad we did not pay full price
We are so glad we did not pay full price on this course. The condition is atrocious there are tee boxes completely overgrown and there are many huge patches of weed infested dried spots on literally every fairway.
The moved tee boxes totally show this course does not care to have females or anyone who plays the forward tees onsite.
We used to play here quite a bit, never again even at a reduced price.
Over all condition of course was very poor
Tee boxes had very little grass, also the bunkers had very little sand if any at all. The greens were also not in good shape. Over all the course needed a lot of water and love to get it back into shape. Even at 35$ with a cart it was disappointing .
Great layout, bad condition
The course has a challenging layout of holes, but the condition of the fairways and greens are atrocious. Front 9 greens are in horrible shape and would suggest a 2 putt rule. Back 9 was in better condition overall, but greens still need major attention. Fun course to play, wish it was in better condition.
Course needs attention
The city needs to invest in this one. There is no grass on this course. Grass is sparse and the sand traps are concrete.
Hard Winter
This course is in pretty rough shape. The greens, particularly on the front were very patchy and putting a true line was impossible. Many of the fairways were the same. The course itself, especially the back nine is defended with quite a few blind or semi-blind tee shots. If you play here I recommend playing with someone who has played the course before because there was more than one time I hit what I thought were good shots into very tall grass. Overall I would play here again but only if I knew the grass had grown in.
x
A great course with some challenging holes and some easy holes. Needs some more water but is coming around.
greens on front 9 in poor shape
fairly boring course, no great holes or features , pretty average course at best. greens on front 9 very poor.
