A different experience
Good to experience golf courses in the States......usually play in Scotland including St Andrews and Gleneagles on a regular basis. The weather was thunder, lightening and some rain squalls so whilst weather wasn’t great very used to playing in poor weather conditions. Not very challenging and course was not in very good condition. Don’t normally use a caddy car but was in fact helpful as groups in front had lost their way....signage could be a little better. Did play 18. Good value for money, very pleasant staff but unlikely to play again.
a special place
This has to be one of the best kept secrets around, I hesitate to let others know about it. A short course but difficult to par, smallish greens, rough rough, lots of fun. No houses! Cows mooing, birds chirping, butterflies , rabbits, and little streams and ponds. A place to forget things and enjoy life!
Great 9 hole country course, friendly staff and fellow golfers.
You get what you pay for
We played Stoney Creek on a Friday afternoon.. Although the deal was excellent the condition of the course was extremely poor no maintain TV boxes greens were uncapped cart path only lots of holes all over the cart path. There is no food available at the course. I also have played it and previously where / when I purchased the round on golf now only to get to the course to be informed that it was walking only. was told that I would get a free round they never honored that. You get what you pay for here
Good Course for the money
I played 18 holes on 2/18/18 {9 holes twice}. I only put the date so you know that this is obviously not the best time of year to play golf. All things considered this was a great course . The guy at the counter was extremely friendly and the whole place had a very laid back feel to it so I felt at home right away. Greens were sandy and fast but like i said it was February. I would like to play it again in summer.
Great Practice Course Don’t Miss it
Don’t miss this North Denver undiscovered gem. Had the pleasure of playing Stoney Creek on Halloween- pretty spooky. The course is really great for an executive course. I was there
Midday and there was only a handful of golfers on the course the pace of play was as fast as I wanted to make it.
Great place to practice your short game with close friends. I’ll be back
Test your game with less stress here.
A great executive plus type course to work on your game at. Great, friendly staff in a pleasant, quiet area - no houses!
This course is fun for all golfers.
Fun and challenging par 3 and 4 course. Awesome view of the mountains. Course was easy to find and employes very friendly. Great day!
stoney creek
its a great little course that you can practice your game on. the staff is very friendly, and the cats are as well...
Need directions
Need to mark/direct to where each tee box is a must. Didn't know where to go on several holes!
Adult Putt Putt
This was absolutely the worst "golf course" I have ever played. I paid $26 for 9 holes, which is pretty standard for most full length courses around Denver. $6 would have been more appropriate. The course is not maintained, water filled the cups (which was kind cool cause you got a splash when you drained a putt), but draining a put on the sandpaper greens is a whole new game of luck. I left very disappointed. There are 2 par 4's on the course, longest of the two was 285 yards. The rest were 100yd par 3's. Maybe good for beginners, but even at that level, go spend your money on a real course to get better. There is no reason this course should be at the same price point as surrounding city courses.
