Raccoon Creek Golf Course
About
The Raccoon Creek Golf Course is a public, 18-hole golf course in Littleton. It covers 7,045 yards from its longest tees and plays to a par of 72. The course has some difficult elements, such as elevation changes, but it is still beginner-friendly. Water hazards come into play on seventeen holes. The most difficult hole of the course, one of the most difficult in Colorado according to the Colorado Golf Associates, is the par-3 17th hole. The hole runs alongside a creek, the creek that the course is named after, and requires a shot over a portion of it to a very well protected green.

person ahead of us napping while waiting to tee off Photo submitted by u000007966850 on 07/21/2015
Great course, slow pace.
Great little course, pace of play was 5.25hr for 18holes and which was rough. All and all recommend.
“But the clubhouse is so cute” -my wife
We play a lot of golf within 40 miles of Denver, 2-3x a week. Always before 6:45am. The rounds are swift and everyone takes pace seriously, especially the marshals.
We tee’d off at the Raccoon Preserve @ 6:30a on a Thursday. By the time we were on the 7th hole(16th because they randomly send you off on the back, into the sun for 5 holes) we were waiting on every tee box. 2 groups deep on the par 3s. Marshals unbothered, and told us we’d be fine and in under 4 1/2 hours. 4.5?!!! Crazy long round for early morning on a week day.
Denver’s city courses do a much better job for 1/2 the greens fee. And any course with a similar or higher greens fee would find the pace inexcusable.
I enjoy writing positive review for positive experiences. Unfortunately, this wasn’t one of em. Should have turned around when I asked to try on a pair of shoes in the pro shop and the fella told me he didn’t no where they keep ‘em.
Wedding venue first golf course second.
Great Day At Raccoon Creek
First time playing here and was a perfect day. everything lined up and got paired with some great people and just enjoyed the entire experience. Carts are great and everything played great.
Nice tract
The score suffered from the recent rain. It usually is quite a nice place, but trees have been knocked down in Sand traps been washed away. Still worth the time.
Perfect day for golf
Course conditions were very good. pace of play was 4 hours. Really enjoyed the day and the course. Fellow player scored a hole-in-one on #4.
Good Day at Raccoon Creek
Staff is friendly and courteous. Golf course was in good shape except for a tee box being re-sod.
Great Course
Lots of water, but not too much. A great course with the perfect challenge
A bit rough, perhaps from the rains the prior week.
Greens were soft and bumpy due to spike marks and no one fixing their pitch marks.
Some fairways were a bit rough. Seems like they were cut. Perhaps the rains from the week before prevented the course from being at its best.
The staff was extremely nice and the clubhouse was also very nice.
One of the best in Denver
Great track. Great place. Super friendly. Highly recommend.
Course condition
Stay away from this course for at least a month! Course is in horrible condition! Wasted $87.
Longest round of my life!
When we finally finished 18, the smart screen in the cart told us we were 87 minutes behind pace. I would not play there again if it were free!
Improvement needed
Beginning with the 1st tee starter, it was a 6 hour round, largely due to poor Course management by the staff. No attempt was made to encourage slow foursomes to move it along. Staff needs to monitor and maintain pace of play. Encourage playing through. 6 hours. This isn’t a 6 hour course. We won’t be back for a bit.
Lots of bare fairways
Had they been marking ground under repair, a good portion of the course would be circled. Lots of bare spots on fairways. Also, took nearly 6 hours to play. I’m not sure if this is due to an overbooked tee sheet or if the Marshall was not properly monitoring play, but it was the longest round of golf I have ever played. Don’t expect to get all 18 in on the weekend if you are booking after 2:00. I will look elsewhere for future times.
