The private Pinehurst Eighteen Hole golf course at the Pinehurst Country Club is one of two courses at the club, but it has the distinction of being the only 18-hole course and the club's signature course. Opened in 1960, Press Maxwell designed the course. A rolling terrain and undulating greens, providing a lot of movement for interesting play. Many love, tall trees also add to the difficulty and beauty of the course. There are three lakes that form water hazards that come into play on five of the holes. The course is 6,908 yards from its longest tees. It is made up of several par 3 s and par-4's as well as two par-5 holes. The greens are Bent Grass while the fairways have Bermuda Grass.
