Murphy Creek Golf Course is a public, 18-hole course with a links-style layout that was designed by Ken Kavanaugh. The course is prairie-like with a gently rolling terrain. It stretches over 7,456 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. The layout is quite challenging with several lengthy holes and well-bunkered greens. Due to the openness of the golf course, wind also becomes a difficult factor of the game. The natural landscape includes small lakes and creeks that create water hazards as well as a few trees sprinkled throughout. Murphy Creek Golf Course is also known for being immaculately maintained.
