J. F. Kennedy Golf Center - Babe Lind/Creek Course
About
The Babe Lind/Creek Course is one of three courses at the J.F. Kennedy Golf Center that can be played in three 18-hole combinations. There is also a great par-3, nine-hole course at the facility. Unlike the West/Creek course, which was designed by Henry Hughes, the Babe Lind/Creek Course was done by another famous golf designer, Dick Phelps, who has done a few other courses in the Denver Area. Opened in 1965, the Babe Lind/Creek is the most popular 18-hole course at J.F. Kennedy Family Golf Center. It offers up to 6,884 yards of golf from its longest tees. The course has large, undulating greens and narrow, tree-lined fairways. Water hazards also come into play on this course.

Creek #9 Tee Photo submitted by nmcnair on 09/05/2014
Creek=good Babe=eh west=awful
The babe/creek 18 is a bang for the buck. Overall it’s a very well kept course and played very well. The babe alright with mostly playable holes that are fairly straightforward but can get a little boring. The creek however is worth the price of admission and I wish you could just play that for 9 holes. The creek may not be long, but every hole is at least somewhat interesting with a great layout and a solid use of land. But my God, the west course blows. West is a very boring round of golf with just long straight holes that are pretty much the same. Kennedy is a perfect example long doesn’t mean better. Overall creek and babe is a good time.
Challenging experience given the conditions
I played the Babe/Creek combination and walked the round. It was very challenging given the circumstances. It started out rough due to the required telephone check in from the parking lot. Despite being told everything was fine, by the time I got to the first tee, my group was already out in the first fairway. I hustled down to the second tee and caught them there so I missed the first hole. Since there were no benches, water, or scorecards it was a tough day. I felt like I was constantly faced with blind shots since there was often quite a distance from the tees to any course information markers. Without a scorecard or other map, it was quite challenging. There was no drink cart so without water on the course, it was a brutal 90 degree round.
Fix your ball marks
Maybe it goes hand in hand with Denver people who are younger, more irresponsible, less caring, etc... but these greens are like the lunar surface. To bad for such a good course
Poor management
Two people from my reservation had to cancel last minute. I called them as soon as I found out these two had to cancel to let them know. The course still charged me the full amount. It’s ridiculous they did this. The course wasn’t full by any means. It was a weekday with plenty of open slots. Things change. I will not be playing here again.
Nice course, good value
Nice course. I enjoyed the layout and variety. In good shape, except for the bunkers which need more sand and/or raking. Greens had been aerated in the past few weeks but healing nicely and not much of an issue. Pace of play ws 4:10 for a walking foursome. A few holes on the back nine are far apart so there's extra walking, but not too bad.
Nice course, good value
I like the layout of this course. If you’re walking there are a few longish wake between a few of the holes. Greens had been sweated recently but were pretty well healed and in decent shape. Well maintained. 4:20 for a walking threesome was good (Monday 10:10 tee time, wasn’t busy)
For a City managed course, Excellent.
I played 18, the Creek course and Babe Lynn. The Creek course is not overly long, but a real kick to play. Fairways are a bit narrow and there are plenty of trees lining the fairways. Babe Lynn is longer, around 3500 from the tips, at not as much fun. The greens were aerated a few days ago, so putting was not much fun. That is no fault of the city or the team here, it has to be done. My only negative is the range. No grass tees and all mats. I hate mats, so that was an issue for me. Overall, a terrific day on the course.
Good course
This is my home course. Play here often and enjoy it. The course is in good shape and the greens are rolling nice and fast mid-summer. Easy course to walk.
Fun Course BUT......
Fun course, good layout and great staff but greens are in horrible condition. Never seen anything like it. I play this course every year and it is public course and can get beat up but after experiencing the greens today I will not be going back.
JFK
Great deal for the money. Awesome cart girls. Nice to play without all the leaves. I finally pared 15. Great day.
Great place to play!
Great day on the course! It started with the starter; very friendly and helpful. The course was in Great shape for a winter day! Pace of play was above average.
Fun round of Golf
We had rain in the morning so it was just my buddy and I planning the entire time - I never even saw any other golfers around us. We played the west 9, a very simple course with not much sand and no water but it was very well kept. Fun round especially with the discounted GN rate
