Indian Peaks Golf Club
About
The golf course at Indian Peaks Golf Club is an 18-hole, public course in Lafayette that offers several interesting challenges. The course is 7,083 yards from its longest tees with a par of 72. Hale Irwin designed the course, which opened in 1993. It boasts more than 80 bunkers while two creeks, and six lakes create water hazards that come into play on several holes. There are also beautiful views of the mountains, especially on the last hole. Indian Peaks Golf Club's seventh hole is a particularly challenging hole in that trees protect the green and also a creek runs through the fairway.

Out of Town Player's perspective
This course was pretty open but did feature some tough pin placements. Very well maintained. A little on the expensive side though. Great views of mountains.
A scenic and challenging course.
This course is a very scenic and challenging course. The course is well laid out and easy to get around. There are enough water hazards and sand traps strategically placed to require playing each hole with a plan. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nice Layout and challenging but fair.
This is the perfect course to test the skill level of all players. The variety of Tees is perfect and the penalties are not severe for being slightly off line. There is value in knowing where to miss shots and that the greens have enough slope to play away from certain areas. I always enjoy this course since playing well is rewarded with no gimicks. Pace of play is a problem on busy times, but that is just the nature of a public, popular course. Relax and enjoy the day!
A fair price for the quality of the course
This was a course I was excited to play, driving by it frequently, it looked like a great course to play. It did not disappoint! I would definitely go out and play again, it offered many different challenges that kept the game fresh.
Return Visit..Not Disappointed
Sometimes we revisit a course that we enjoyed and are disappointed. This was not the case with Indian Peaks. We revisited Boulder in July this year and I recommended this course to a friend from California.
We were enthralled with the course, the fairways were in fab condition, the rough was thick and to be avoided. The greens were pristine and the ball ran true..missed putts were down to misreads.
We enjoyed the course so much that I played it again on 29th of July with my wife. She enjoyed it but felt that it was quite long.
It is on my list to visit again on our next visit.
Fantastic Public Course
One of the best public courses I've played...lost a couple of balls to the water, but a great experience none-the-less.
Adding to my rotation of courses
The staff was great. All staff was on top of their game:) Very helpful. The course was in great shape. Fairways, greens and bunkers in great shape.
The course was in excellent condition and the staff was very friendly. The view of the Rockies from the 18th Rockies amazing!
The elevation changes and deep rough made this course fun but challenging. The yardage book is set up as a free App that you can download to your smart phone.
The course was in excellent condition. I had a great time playing and will definitely play this course again.
Nice course...
Overall a good course. Very few dead spots, if any. Tee boxes are good, fairways are nice. Greens are little shaggy, but no bad/dead greens like many of the other courses in the area. The layout is why I gave this a 3 out 5. A couple of holes are gimmicky, forced layups on short par 4's.
Good Solid Public Course
Good course. Very solid. Greens were in good shape as well. One of the better public courses in the area.
This course will challenge you
I was happy with the course, and the price. The greens where in great shape, and the overall condition was excellent. I would recommend this spot to anyone. Try new courses whenever you can.
Great
Really enjoyed playing this course. I will be playing here again.
CONDITIONS, VIEWS, PRICE
the course was in great shape, fairways, tee boxes, greens all of it.. staff was very friendly and the cart came around enough.. the pace was great, we weren't being pushed and we never caught up to the group in front of us.. the views the front range on some of the holes is still something I will keep on going back for..
Course has interesting features
Nice course with interesting, challenging holes. some of them repetitive. Average value for your money
For early season it was in very good shape
As always, a enjoyable round at this course. My wife who has been playing a few years now has a new favorite to play.
January Golf
I played Indian Peaks in January and the course was in excellent condition. With few people out, I finished in about 3 hours.
Can't wait to play there again.
Challenging course with bunkers gallore.
The course was in fairly good condition with tee boxes and fairways still soft. However, due to recent aeration on the greens, large amounts of sand covering them. This made for difficult putting. There are quite a few doglegs which made it fairly hard finding the flag as a new player to the course. Overall though, it was enjoyable.
The view from that 18th...
Played here for the first time yesterday... I am a decent golfer, but by no means am I 'well traveled' in terms of courses played (that would be my father!). Aside from a couple private NJ/NY courses and the public course in Boulder, CO (Flatirons), I really have only played a handful of courses in my mature age (18+) but I may have found my go to course in Colorado, only a 15 minute drive from home! Also, that view from the tee box on 18th is fantastic... absolutely stunning, even for those of use who live here.
I booked a HOT deal for 18 w/cart at 12:40 by myself ($23)... I showed up about 30 mins early to hit a small bucket and was told I was paired up with another single at the same time (no big deal, but unless there is heavy traffic at the course, which there was not, I prefer playing my single as a single). We started off the 10th, which had a sandy green (so did 11th, no warning whatsoever from the course) and quickly realized this course was much nicer than the public course 5 mins away in Boulder. Despite the stupidly high winds, I found this course extremely playable by all levels but would love to see what I can do with tame weather. The course (somewhat) recently aerated all the greens (again, no warning) so putting was slightly tricky, but manageable with most of the pin placements after my approach/short game shots.
Overall, the course seemed very well maintained, pace was quick with the lighter winter-time traffic, and was a decent challenge on my first round playing. The price paid with cart was fantastic compared to other courses in reasonable distance and I'm sure I'll find myself taking advantage of the deals golfnow offers here again.
recent aeration
overall, delightful course with good staff, enabled us to play through a very slow group, ended up finishing in four hours. Biggest area of concern though, is the greens were recently aerated and the putting surface atrocious. Should have been told about this prior to booking. Should not and would not have played it then had we known.
Agreed. Really nice course but they will not be up front about aerated greens/sand etc. Or lower the green fees for poor green conditions.
