Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills - South Par-3 Course
About
The South Par-3 Course is one of two par-3, public golf courses that Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills offers. In total there are four courses, varying in length and size, at Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. Unlike the 7-hole North Par-3 Course, the South Par-3 has 9 holes and it is 1,060 yards from its longest tees. The course is quite challenging for a par-3. Water hazards come into play on four of the nine holes. It offers excellent practice for those wanting to improve their short game as it tests several different handicaps. Although less demanding than the 18-hole Gold Course, the South Par-3 is a great short course.

Fun 9 hole par 3 to practice mid and short game, the water hazards on the first 3 holes provide a fun challenge
The no rules course
If you’re like me and aren’t that good and don’t like to feel bad playing with people who are, play here! The course is practically lawless (in a good way) there’s basically nowhere that carts aren’t allowed except inside the clubhouse and apparently you can bring massive groups and play together. Personally I enjoy this atmosphere sometimes and will definitely play here again. Price was extremely reasonable and the course had a few challenging holes due to the very short yardages.
Fun, quick 9 executive
The course was beautiful. Despite hacking a hectic morning with a golf tournament, the staff was friendly. First couple holes were challenging and tight with water. There were some nice mountain views. Course played with at 1:15, walking.
Wonderful time.
The South par 3 course was challenging but fun. I can’t wait to play it again.
Pretty poor condition compared to the main course
Conditions were pretty terrible even for early season and a par 3 course. The maintenance staff kept buzzing right past us while we were playing and one of them was rude about where my cart was parked. One of them even got on the green to seed it while we were on it. Definitely don’t play the par 3 — it’s a waste of money.
Prepare yourself
while it may be par 3 every shot to a postage stamp sized green will challenge you. dont look at the card distance unless you are on a marker. there was trouble on most holes which makes you think more than you think you should….you want work on your short game….this is the place to do it…easily walkable…..
South Par 3
Only issue is not restroom on the course.
Hole 6 could be an excellent place for this in my opinion.
Really would be nice if a starting marshal to keep people that can't show up on time from just jumping in.
And a restroom would be the greatest feature for this course.
Difficult Ar 3
Lits of water to cross iver and very steep tee boxes. Not a comfortable Par 3 course.
