Coal Creek Golf Course
About
With beautiful views of the Rocky Mountain, the 18-hole, public Coal Creek Golf Course is a popular golfing option in Louisville. Richard Phelps designed the course to have a different front nine and back nine. The front nine has a links-style layout with plenty of water while the back nine features dramatic elevation changes and strategically-placed sand bunkers. The unique and challenging golf course covers 6,957 yards and plays to a par of 72. The rolling fairways are quite generous and the undulating greens are very fast. Coal Creek Golf Course also offers picturesque views of the Rockies from its higher elevation points and situated on the course itself are several natural landmarks.

An OK golf course
looks like every one's having a pulling/pushing cards- easy course to walk, except #15.
Tee boxes needs some work.
Attractive course with nice view of mountains.
Course is mostly wide open. There are a few holes that are tight or require layup. Very enjoyable for anyone looking for a pleasant round.
a good course with some interesting challenges
women should love the length of the par 4 holes. good water features. did not like that we had to carry our bags to and from the carts -- no carts in parking lot. and no valet to move the bags if you wished.
Nice fairways but uncut greens
Most of the greens hadn't been cut. Some looked like it had been several days since they were mowed. The 12th green was beautiful, 2-3 others were good, the rest were very woolly.
The fairways were nice. The gps is awesome. The whole course was held up by a twosome who were 3-4 holes behind. It's a decent course but I wouldn't play it again.
Beautiful course
This is a great Colorado course, very pretty, each hole is unique, lots of variety.
Great time, comfortable pace even for a weekend foursome
Course was in good shape, staff was friendly, pace of play was perfect for our weekend warrior foursome. No complaints, great experience.
Fun course. Polite golfers.
It was a nice course with some patches or rough areas on fairways, greens.
Fun and challenging.
This course is a challenge. Well layed out with trees and water in strategic places. Challenging but fair.
Greens are difficult to read, but in great shape
Nice course traveling through neighborhoods and open areas. Course is well cared for but could use some minor attention to the fairways. Challenging layout will make you think twice before club selection. Many risk/reward holes but one can score without big shots, but course will make you pay if you can't keep the ball in play. Greens are in really good condition and was difficult to read for our foursome. Only a handful of long putts sunk and many missed short ones. I recommend a round to anyone.
Great Course for the money
This is one of the best courses I've played this year. It is well worth the money and I'll be playing it again. The fairways were nice and tight with the trees and water. The bunkers were well placed as well. This is a course where you will have to think about every shot.
Great course, great price thanks to Golfnow!
I have played this course a few times, but never for such a great bargain. Got one of the Hot Deals and it was an unbelievable deal. Actually played with one of the members of the staff at Coal Creek, and he was a great guy, and golfer. Really helped to have someone that knew the course real well because it can be tricky. Oh yeah, and I chipped in from 25yds out!
nice place, decent shape
Interesting course with a few challenging elements. The greens were somewhat variable and not in the best shape in some areas, otherwise the course was in good shape. There are large wooded areas with tall grass and weeds in the spring that can easily take your ball away, as well as a system of creeks and ponds. Some of the drives require a fair amount of precision and somewhat blind placement. Pretty nice houses around and has a good overall atmosphere.
Lots of variety, great course.
Enjoyed our round. Considering it was early spring, course is in good condition. Some minor winter kill on greens, putting surface was a little rough in places.
Maintenance stinks
I stopped playing this course a couple of years ago because the course conditions were poor and the prices were high. I thought that since they have new management they would be better, but the course still needs TLC. We have had plenty of rain so there is no excuse. If you want a great course around Boulder Louisville, play Indian Peaks.
