The 18-hole, private golf course at the Bear Creek Golf Club is initially a challenge. Opened in 1985, Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the demanding course. The course's difficulty stems from the undulating greens and various hazards. The course stretches over 7,000 yards, playing to a par of 72. It provides more than just a tough game of golf; the course also successfully captures the natural beauty of the area. The wildflowers such as Indian Paintbrush and Fringed Sage were kept in tact as well as the indigenous Crested Wheatgrass roughs. Bear Creek requires accurate shot-making and precise strategy rather than sheer strength. Although beginners may find the golf course difficult, it gets easier with practice and the gorgeous terrain is worth it.
